CPTC Annual Conference for Area Planners
The Citizen Planner Training Collaborative (CPTC) will hold its seventh annual conference Saturday, March 15, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hogan Conference Center at Holy Cross College in Worcester.
The annual CPTC Spring Conference brings together planning and zoning officials from across the state to hear about topical issues and practical learning sessions that address important planning issues confronted by cities and towns. State Senator Pamela Resor will deliver the keynote address.
This year’s conference will highlight “Advanced Tools and Procedures for Planning and Zoning” and includes six core courses that lead to CPTC certification, including “The Roles and Responsibilities of Planning and Zoning Boards,” “How to Hold a Perfect Public Hearing,” and “Writing Reasonable and Defensible Decisions.” Session topics include MARPA Best Practices for Streamlining Permitting, Chapter 40B New Regulations, Massachusetts Smart Growth Toolkit, and more.
For the first time this year, many Spring Conference sessions entitle attendees to AICP continuing education credit.
Registration fee is $50 per person, including a buffet lunch. Registrations must be received by Friday, March 7.
