Ware Open Space and Recreation Survey Deadline Extended

Ware’s Open Space Committee has extended the deadline for public input to its Open Space and Recreation Survey to September 10, 2013 as part of an update to the Town’s 2006 Open Space and Recreation Plan.

The plan provides guidance based on community input for active stewardship of open spaces, water resources, plant and animal habitat, neighborhood parks, and quality outdoor recreation facilities. Completing this survey will help inform the goals, priorities, and actions for the coming years.

The survey is available online at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Ware_OSRP.

A link to the survey is also available on the Town’s website:  www.townofware.com.

Paper copies of the survey are available at:
Town Clerk’s Office, 126 Main Street
Young Men’s Library Association, 37 Main Street
Reed Municipal Pool, West Main Street
Ware Senior Center, 1 Robbins Road

A public visioning session will be held Monday, September 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Ware Town Hall, Selectmen’s Meeting Room. The visioning session will offer an additional public forum for discussing goals and strategies for addressing the future of open space and recreation in Ware.

The plan is being developed by the Ware Open Space Committee with assistance from the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission with funding provided by a District Local Technical Assistance grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
